State Park Spring Festival 2025
To mark the
20th Anniversary of No Child Left Inside
This Saturday from 10-2 @ Stratton Brook State Park, Simsbury CT

Laurel is combining our two science-oriented nights this year. The STEAM afterschool program’s STEAM Expo and the Laurel Science Share and Show events will now be in tandem.
Join us to walk through the cafe and see what students have learned in the STEAM program. Check out the creations they made and reflections of learning. Continue walking through the gym where students’ science projects will be on display. Some students have conducted experiments and others have conducted research. All students can discuss what they learned. Ask our little owls all about their projects! Kindergarten Habitat Dioramas will be displayed in the kindergarten hallway and Mrs. Peter’s chicks will be ready for visitors!!
This is a great culmination and presentation of learning.

Check out the Laurel Literacy Academy May and June Event Calendars on our webpage!

It was a busy weekend for Bloomfield Warhawks Athletics.
Girls Indoor Track & Field won the State Open, claiming their 4th State Open title, and completing a Perfect Season (Conference Champions, Class S Champions (15th in a row), and State Open Champions). A State Open victory means they are the best girls track team in the state regardless of size which is remarkable given we are the smallest school in our conference and one of the smallest in the state.
Wrestler, Dorian Pollard finished 5th in the State in the Championship on Saturday and qualified for the State Open next weekend.
The Boys Basketball team fell to Northwest Catholic in the quarterfinals of the Central Connecticut Conference Championship. Two of our student athletes, Cayden Smith and Jeffery Acoff, were recognized as All Conference Athletes. They begin the Tier II State Championship next Monday at home.

Help support the District Climate Committee and the Simon Foundation, a local cat and dog shelter, as they are collecting donations.
Donated items can be dropped off at your child's school through Friday, February 28.

Thank you to the Bloomfield Police Department for stopping by with Valentine's Day cards for our students at Laurel Literacy Academy!

Good Morning,
Due to weather conditions, Bloomfield Schools will be opening 2 hours late today, Thursday, February 13.
Thank you

Friday, February 7th, was the 100th day of school in 2025. Our students enjoyed many activities. The costumes were on point this year. Students in Mrs. Ermini's class wrote, "When I am 100 years old, I will..."
One student wrote, "I will watch TV and eat strawberries". Another wrote, "I will drive a wheelchair". Reading all the great ideas from our little people was interesting! Just think in 100 years the date will be 2125! It seems unimaginable.

Good evening Bloomfield Public School community.
Due to inclement weather, Bloomfield Public Schools and District Offices will be closed on Thursday, February 5, 2025.

Don't forget!
Tomorrow is Book Voyager!!
Thursday, January 16, 202,5 at 5:45 join us for a story, activity, and dinner.
